PROJECR TO CREATE A "TERRACOTTA" BING Carburetor

The  processing  phases started from  the  original piece,  an  old BING carburetor like the one  you  find on BMWs so  to  speak.  The  carburetor  is  no  longer usable,  some  small external  parts  must  be  cut,  because  once  in  the mold they  cannot create   undercuts.
After taking all the measurements I  made a plaster cast  of  the  main body  one side at a time, having  two parts makes it easier to remove the piece  from the mold once the piece
is finished.
Once finished, the plaster mold must dry completely for a few weeks because it contains a lot of water. The dry clay is dissolved with water and thus creates the Slip, which is poured into the mold.  The  water  contained  in  the clay is absorbed  by the mold, in this  way the piece is light and empty inside.
It  must  dry for a few days, after which it is possible to open the mold delicately, this  is the worst phase  where  several pieces have broken.  The clay should  dry  slowly and evenly, the same procedure for the top cap too.
In  the  end  the  clay  is  cooked  at  a  temperature   around  1000°  becoming  terracotta!
The last step is to assemble each piece with resistant two-component glue.
